DESCRIPTION

Africa50 is an infrastructure investor and asset manager that contributes to Africa’s growth by developing and investing in bankable projects, catalysing public sector capital, and mobilizing private sector funding.

Africa50 has raised over US$1 billion so far from 33 African countries, the African Development Bank, two African Central Banks and Africa’s largest pension fund. Africa50 has an independent investment process and seeks to generate commercial risk adjusted returns for its investments across key infrastructure sectors: Energy (including power generation and related parts of the value chain), Midstream gas, Transportation, ICT, Health infrastructure, Education and Fintech.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive individual to support the organization regarding the anticipated increase of administrative and logistics queries during Q3 and Q4 of 2025.

This internship allows you to be a part of the growth story of a dynamic and growing pan-African organization. You will learn the fundamentals of infrastructure investing and gain hands-on experience in office management and operational support in an entrepreneurial environment.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

We have a work-intensive environment, requiring good judgment, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with high level external and internal contacts. The intern will support the Executive Assistant in the following main areas of responsibilities:

  • Track implementation of initiatives
  • Provide quality control by monitoring documents for accuracy, ensuring adherence to the Principal orientations and Africa50 guidelines and procedures, and assisting in editing, formatting, and production
  • Prepare routine correspondence such as emails, mailings, invitations as well as letters, upon requests
  • Travel arrangements and Logistics support for the Principal and other members of the team as required
  • Manage the filing/archiving of official correspondence going out of/received by the Principal
  • Expense reports preparation for the Principal and other members of the team as required
  • Screen, prioritize, and appropriately channel inquiries, requests, and emails to the Principal’s support team
  • Assist in handling visitors of the Principal
  • Manage the calendar, schedule appointments and arrange meetings for the Principal and other members of the team as required
  • Provide support in the compilation of briefing materials and protocol information for the Principal’s participation in internal and external events/meetings including conferences, summits, high level meetings, speaking engagements, in coordination with the Communications Department
  • Ad hoc administrative support and other types of tasks as needed

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Interest in Africa50’s mission, strategy and values
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and professionalism
  • Culturally sensitive, able to relate to people of diverse backgrounds
  • Proven high interpersonal skills
  • Very high degree of flexibility, demonstrated capacity to handle a variety of concurrent activities, to judge priorities, and to take initiative, while keeping a clear head in an action-oriented and fast-paced environment
  • High degree of judgment, discretion, and diplomacy in handling confidential and sensitive matters
  • Demonstrated ability to deal tactfully and effectively with contacts at all levels, both inside and outside the organization
  • Proactively follow-through on key deliverables to ensure deadlines are met. High level of motivation, commitment, and reliability are needed
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexibility regarding hours

LANGUAGUE REQUIREMENTS

Superior written and verbal communication skills in English and French.

LOCATION

Position is based in Casablanca, Morocco.
